WAF Status
WAF Status Options
This section provides three status options to control how incoming requests are handled:
- Log and Block: This mode logs all incoming requests and blocks those identified as malicious. It ensures that threats are recorded for analysis while preventing potential attacks from reaching the website.
- Log Only: In this mode, incoming requests are logged but not blocked. It helps monitor traffic, analyze potential threats, and fine-tune security policies without disrupting legitimate users.
- Bypass: When WAF is in Bypass mode, it does not filter or inspect traffic. Incoming requests are directly routed to the website without protection. This mode is typically used for troubleshooting or when WAF protection is temporarily disabled.
By selecting the appropriate WAF status, you can balance security, monitoring, and accessibility based on your website’s needs.
