Malware Scanning for File Uploads

Introduction

Our customers often upload files without prior content scanning, leaving them vulnerable to significant risks, including data breaches and website defacement. To address these concerns, we introduced Malware Scanning for file uploads.

This new capability will automatically detect and block malicious files containing malware, significantly improving security for our users.

Keynote

The File Uploads section allows customers to choose the type of file to be uploaded and set the file size limit.

A toggle switch in the Allow File Uploads field allows customers to enable or disable file uploads on the site.

The maximum file size allowed for scanning is 15MB. If a file exceeds this limit, only the first 15MB will be scanned, and the results will be based on that portion of the file.

This feature is available exclusively for customers on the Enterprise Plan

How to Enable Malware Scanning?

Navigate to WAAP > Configure WAF > File Uploads

In the Enable Malware Scanning field, click the toggle switch to enable scanning.
