Too many alerts can make it hard to know what's important. AppTrana WAAP lets you control which alerts you receive, so you can focus on what matters most and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Our Email notification management feature helps you stay on top of security threats while avoiding alert fatigue.

To configure email alerts in AppTrana WAAP, follow these steps:

Navigate to Manage -> Account -> Email Alerts within the AppTrana WAAP dashboard.

 

AppTrana WAAP organizes alerts into different categories based on their priority level. Here are the categories along with their descriptions:

Category

Description

High Priority Alerts

License Related Emails

Alerts related to licensing agreements, such as expiration reminders or license usage notifications.

WAF Settings Change Notifications

Notifications indicating changes made to WAF settings, ensuring awareness of any adjustments that may impact security.

Attack Notifications

Alerts to stay updated on the attacks directed at your application that were successfully blocked by WAF.

Medium Priority Updates

Scanning Related Updates

Notifications are sent when scans are initiated on your applications and the alerts are sent when the scan URL is not reachable for scanning.

Summary Email Updates

Site Level Summary Updates (Daily, Weekly)

Notification on the current status of your application and the trends of attacks and requests on your applications in that day or the last 1 week

Group Level Summary Updates (Daily, Weekly)

Update on the current  status of applications summarized at group level - for all groups the user is a part of - summarized alerts can be received daily or weekly basis

All Site Level Summary Updates (Daily, Weekly)

Update on the current status of all applications summarized - for all groups the user is a part of - summarized alerts can be received daily or weekly basis

Explore customization options provided for each alert category, allowing you to tailor notification settings according to your preferences.

Utilize the "Also send all my emails to" option to forward emails to additional recipients, to make sure that relevant stakeholders are kept informed about security events.

After configuring email alert settings according to your preferences, Save the changes to apply them effectively.
