Restricted Admin User

Rama Sadhu Updated by Rama Sadhu

AppTrana WAAP offers flexible admin user creation, enabling varied access levels.

Restricted Admin Users can perform actions similar to a 'Customer admin' but won't see certain parameters related to the Detect module and vulnerabilities. Access the user roles guide here for further clarification.

Below are the steps to create a Restricted Admin User.

  1. Go to the AppTrana WAAP platform and navigate to the "Manage" section.
  1. From the dropdown menu, select "User" and then choose "Create User."
  1. On the "New User" page, initially, select "Super Admin" as the user type.
  1. Now, you'll notice an option for "Restricted Admin." Check this box to indicate that you want to create a restricted admin user.
  1. Once selected, the page will update to allow you to fill in the details for the restricted admin user, such as email username, etc.
  1. After entering the required information, click the "Create User" button.
  1. A confirmation pop-up will appear, confirming that the user has been successfully created.

Access Levels: Super Admin Vs Restricted Admin User

The access levels between Super Admin and Customer Admin are distinct to ensure controlled visibility and functionality within the platform.

Specifically, when logging in with a restricted Customer Admin account, users are not granted access to parameters related to the Detect and Vulnerabilities features, thereby maintaining a more controlled access level.
