Configuring Custom Error and Maintenance Pages in AppTrana WAAP

AppTrana WAAP allows you to configure custom error and maintenance pages to enhance user experience and maintain consistent branding.

By default, standard templates will be shown to the user, without any branding, however, upon assigning teamplates to erorr codes, respective HTML pages will be shown to all users that are blocked by WAF.

Steps to Create a Custom Error Page or Maintenance Page Template

Log in to the AppTrana WAAP portal. Go to Settings > Custom Pages > Page Template Manager.

Click Add New Template.

In the pop-up screen, select Page Type as Error or Maintenance.

Enter the Template Name and Click Choose file to upload your template.

Click the .html file to upload.

Click Save.

Make sure to follow the custom page guidelines as outlined below:

Below is the default Indusface template for error and maintenance pages. Users can modify it as per their requirements.

Setting a Custom Maintenance Page

Go to Custom Pages > Maintenance Pages. Toggle the Maintenance Page Button

 

Select the Maintenance Page template (default or custom).

There is also an option to set the date and time to auto-disable the maintenance page.

Go to Custom Pages > Error Pages, select the error type, and click Edit.

Choose the uploaded template file and click Update from the Pop-up screen. Finally, Click Update.
